We need a break
G'day Vanfam.
This week we share a lot of info about what's been going on behind scenes at Svedos Trippin. We have been working very hard behind the scenes on several projects and as result we need to take some time away from the camera's. This video is about letting you know what's going on with us.
Will see you again in a few months.

G'day Van fam. This week we are continuing to explore along the South West Coast of WA. We based ourselves out the back of Denmark at an off grid hip camp on a winery. I don't know what the other in-between bits the other viewers are looking for🤔 Great to see you returned after the car repairs. Im sure the kids will cherish the memories forever. Im hoping to do the Gibb next year and your vlog has truly inspired me.

    I live in Missouri, the middle of the US. We used to live on the west coast and camped often, since we've moved it has been a lot less frequent but as we get more settled in we are going a bit more. I just find it very interesting the differences and similarities between our set ups. I have to have a converter available when you talk numbers and weights HAHA. In the last video I watched was getting your weights right. Correct me if I am wrong but 6000 kilograms is the total combined weight of the car and caravan correct? 6000Kilo converts to just over 13,000lbs, thats what we call CGVWR, Combined Gross Vehicle Weight Rating. My F150 has a CGVWR of 14,300lbs so just under 6500K. I just find that very interesting and it makes me wonder why when my truck is so much bigger. Any ways hope to see more new videos soon, enjoy your time away!

    • @SvedosTrippin
      @SvedosTrippin 8 днів тому

      Hi there, yes it sounds like your CGVWR and our GCM are the equivalent of each other. however 6500kg seems low for a F150, I just googled F150 GCM in Australia and it came up with 7765kg or 17119 lb's. We will be back putting out videos very soon, thanks for watching them.

But i like how you ditched the outdoor kitchen to lighten your load👌. I think if you want to cook outdoors a little weber bbq does the trick.

      Hi mate, it's been a while since this vid. I assume your asking in relation to our swing arm being cracked, something we would of noticed sooner if we were paying attention to our tyre wear. The answer is no, we were under warranty, and we had the entire swing arm replaced. We did how ever have to supply to G n S chassis a weigh report showing that our van was under its weight limits (at our cost I might add) before they would honour our warranty claim. Thanks for watching, Svedo.

    You need either a bigger tow vehicle or a smaller van like a camper trailer. Too many manufacturers are cooking the books on 3.5T towing! Your van isn't the problem your BT50 is too small.

  • @sailingcitrinesunset4065
    @sailingcitrinesunset4065 29 днів тому

    Being realistic if you're going to tow a heavy caravan buy a bigger tow vehicle like an Iveco daily 4x4 truck if your going to drive around Australia and keep your boat! Medium size dual cab ute with a 3.5T tow capacity is a joke and is for towing a boat to the local ramp.

      @@SvedosTrippin Thanks mate. Enjoying so far but will list noted undesirables: 1. Pooing in public toilets next to people in dead silence not fun 2. Certain neighbours can be less than ideal 3. Air con compressor thumps at night on/off 4. Risk of high speed collision increases over most people not travelling insane highways towing 5. Pretty tight space 6. Not ideal getting up early for your partner Apart from that, it's nice to be somewhere different and not go to work. Certainly unique so far

Neighbours bin van parks can be annoying, and probably almost anywhere there's others around really but this place is quite good tonight. It's been good but can see how quickly the novelty wears off. Still better than working and hanging about home though. Expensive🫰 and everything really does break! Like you said. Somehow I thought we'd buck the trend

    Can I ask what sort of drone you guys might recommend? Great quality footage

    • @SvedosTrippin
      @SvedosTrippin Місяць тому

      Yeah no worries. All of our footage has been captured on the mavic air 2S. We have just upgraded to the latest model, the mavic air 3 but i havent created any content with it yet. I really only know about the mavic drones, they are the class leaders in drones so I will only talk about them. The mavic air is the mid range drone and middle in size also. They also have the mini and the pro. The air model can handle windy conditions far better than a mini can and as creators we can justify the extra size and cost for this purpose alone. The mini has a smaller size and flight time but it's form factor is great and it's far less obnoxious when in the air. The camera quality will be comparable but obviously the bigger drones will have better cameras with bigger sensors as they can carry more. The mavic pro is much larger and far more obnoxious in the air, but comes with a better camera and increased flight time. It would be much harder to store the pro in a caravan and we can't justify the space and cost as the air model suits our needs. Hope this helps.
